Thanks for the link. The actor walks around nude for quite a while, but nothing in the performance seems sexual. Even the girl washing him while he's naked is just a ritual. This is German and very serious, and it's good to see prolonged male nudity as part of the drama.

I doubt this situation would be permitted to happen if the roles were reversed. Quite the double standard.

You're absolutely right - it NEVER would have happened with only two male guards in the room with a stripped, naked female inmate. However, over the past 20 years, U.S. courts have begun to take the same position and are now prosecuting such actions that involve female correctional officers. The prosecutors have invoked the same double-standard citing what would have happened to the officers if it had been a female inmate.

The so-called liberal values of the Western societies are, among other things, gender-blind. If you are a man. I am not a bigoted conservative. I strongly support the professionalism and the scientific thinking, yet there are some distortions in the modern western societies - positive discrimination and double-standards are two of the most unreasonable consequences of these principles. But if it is true that we have these problems (if we have, this is just my point of view), on the other hand we can say that the quality of life in liberal societies is significantly higher compared to any other society. And it would be even better, if we stop demonizing certain categories for historical reasons.
